ABOUT US

CLAS includes all levels of lettering artists, bookbinders, printers, and sign-writers, as well as those who possess an abiding interest and enthusiasm for historical and/or contemporary applications of these forms of expression. We are teachers, artists, skilled amateurs, professionals, hobbyists, and dabblers.

CLAS is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1979. Although many of our members hail from the Carolinas, we welcome members from all over the United States and other countries. We strive to provide a means of communication and exchange of ideas between our members.

We offer two workshops annually, including our Annual General Meeting each spring. Lately we have offered our workshops via the Zoom platform.
